Bernard (Ben) Ugochukwu Nwosu
Bernard Ugochukwu Nwosu is completing a Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. He had previously taught Political Science for two school years at Madonna University, Anambra state, Nigeria before he was invited in 2005 to join the faculty in Political science at his alma mater, the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He left for New Zealand on a study leave after five years, to study for a doctorate in Political Theory. Ben’s current research is in the broad area of civil society and democratisation. More generally, he had worked and published on the themes of conflict, citizenship, gender, elections, diplomacy of transitional states and democratic theory.
Within the RIMA context, Ben will focus on Muslims in Nigeria and deal with the relationship between them, the Christians and the state.
