Mouhamadou Kane is a young Senegalese scholar. He is currently a junior fellow researcher at ISS (Institute for Security Studies), Pretoria, South Africa. He is a PhD candidate and his thesis is about an analysis of the root causes of religious radicalism in Northern Nigeria. His areas of interest include: terrorism, counter terrorism in Africa, political Islam, the Sahel region, and Sufism in Senegambia.
In the framework of RIMA he will deal with the Sahel region , terrorism and counter terrorism in West Africa and Sufism in Senegambia.
